Yuppies win 2 games; draws 2 more
Agoo, La Union - The 2K2K1 Yuppies celebrates their 2 victories during the LUFA Anniv cup last July 7, 2013 at the Marcos Sports Center of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Agoo, La Union. Both were 1-nil triumphs against the tournament's champion Pugad Sutil FC and the newcomer Agoo Montessori Voltz.
The 7-a-side tournament was competed by 9 teams from the province of La Union wherein a 36-game round-robin format was played.
Headed by team captain Jeffreymar Malaya, the yuppies also had 2 more draws against the favored Argie and Friends FC and the Don Eufemio F. Eriguel Memorial National High School (DEFEMNHS) fc with both matches nil-nil.
Malaya, a former PMMA varsitarian tagged one of his team mates Lt. Caloy Pacubas to complete the yuppies roster and contributed winning goals for the victories the Yuppies had.
Rei Nieva, the former midfield also joined the team as the QA manager from a bakery chain enjoyed playing as a right winger during the games. Also, Engr. Gerald Suguitan joined in to replace his brother, also an engineer, Francis Suguitan.
